In my opinion Ewell is the one who rape his doughter and accuse Tom Robinson becouse he is black and all the town was going to be of his side.Or maybe it could be that Ewell hits his doughter and when Robinson went to talk her she accuse him of raped, i dont know jeje
i agree with feli. As Ewell is an alcoholic, i think that while he was drunk or sth like that he raped his daughter, i think robinson is inocent.

i think that what really happened is that Ewell is guilty, but he accused tom because he is a nigger. And Ewell knows that a nigger will be found guilty easily.
What caught my attention is that all white people discriminate even Jem and Scout.
-I thought my idea was going to be original, but I see it isn´t. I also think Ewell si involved in the raping or someone from his family. The inicials foreshadowing show that in the beggining.
-I see the society is really close and familiar, also there is a lot of security and gossiping going around. Its also really divided
I think like tito ,i think that what really happened is that Ewell is guilty, but he accused tom because he is a nigger and Ewell knows that niggers will be found guilty easily.

I thought at first that tom Robinson was guilty of riping Mayella
well, i all ready know the answer as i´m posting TOO late but i remember when i was in that part of the book, and i didn´t imagine thet Myella invented all that i for sure i didn´t believe Tom was guilty of what they accused him.
In my opinion the real guilty is Ewell and Tom Robinson is only accused because he is a black man.
In chapter 16 you can aprreciate teh trial and the enormuos racism that exist in teh society .
i think the one who should be in jail is ewell, because it seems like he was the one who really raped mayella.
