Animal Farm- Chapters 8-9
Do you believe that animals can have human qualities? Write about an animal you have known who acted as "human". Do you believe humans can sometimes act like animals? Give examples of this as well.

Animals are animals, and humans are humans, animals can`t act as humans, it is a law of nature and the other way round. What yes we can say is that soe animals can have some actitudes or qualities which make them very similar to humans beens. An example can be tha parrot who sometimes he can talk like a person, other example can be monkeys, which can in soe case act like a person.
I agree with galla in the point of animals who can have aspects which make them seem to act as humans. But I strongly disagree in teh otrher way round. Humans can act as animals, thats why Orwell did this analogy, because in some ways its true. You can be loyal as a dog, dirty as a pig, strong as a horse, lazy as a cat, silly as a sheep and so on.
i think human beings can, in some cases have similar actituds of animals and the other way round. BUT in both cases neither humans nor animals can act exactly the same as the others.(anim-hum; hum-anim) as galla said, is a law of nature
nowadays we can give plenty of examples of humans who acts like animals, in fact some of them are BEASTS because of their attitude!
Animals can be similar in some aspects to humans but it's stranger. I think a clear example are the gorillas and the dolphins, they are smart animals and they have attitudes like humans.
Animals can not act like humans, they do not have the same qualities and abilities we do. Maybe they have, in especial cases, an amazing ability, someting they can do that other animals can't. But I agree with Celina in the point that humans can have animal atitudes.

Welcome to our blog! Here we will keep in touch during the whole school year and share our activities.
Instructions: For each reading assignment I would like you to post something to this blog about the reading. Among the things you may want to comment on are:
1- Things that have happened in the story at this point and their significance to the overall story.
2- Characters (their actions, motivations, what they say, how they affect other characters, etc.)
3- Quotes from the reading, especially if they are significant in developing the many themes in the novel.
4- Questions that you have about what you've read (including things you don't understand)
Make sure that you put your name at the beginning of each entry you make so that we know who you are as we read the blog.I hope to make this blog a major part of our class discussion over the daily reading, but how effective that is depends entirely on what you contribute. Remember, you need to post something for each reading assignment, and it must be posted before you come to class. I will leave the length up to you, but what you write should be long enough to meaningfully contribute to our discussion. I will discuss with you a fair way to give credit for these blog postings.
A quote or two

i think that animals can´t actlike humans. but in my opinion human beings can act like animals, becuase in fact we are civilized animals.
I think animals can't act as human beings because they depend on what the nature demands them. But the human have their own thoughts
I think human being can act as animal, and so in the other way.
The point is that animals dont' have freewill, they are 'handled' by the nature.
However, ants are corrupt by power, just like the humans.
