After watching Animal Farm, do you think the movie resembles the story in its full extent? Is there any detail of the story that you could understand better by watching the movie? What have you enjoyed the most, reading or watching Animal Farm?
Explain the transformation that can occur by association and aspiration. When have you, or others you have known or have read about, come to resemble a group you/they wished to join or recently did join? In what way can someone you once knew become unrecognizable to you? What factors change people?
Guille, Esteban, Matías and Billy, you are reading a book of your choice. Please, tell your classmates what your are reading and what your book is about up to now. Maybe you can motivate your classmates to read it in their spare time!
Do you believe that animals can have human qualities? Write about an animal you have known who acted as "human". Do you believe humans can sometimes act like animals? Give examples of this as well.
"Nothing could have been achieved without Boxer." Tell who Boxer symbolizes and what the windmill represents. Then explain the deeper meaning of this sentence.
What do you think of the title of the story- TEA? Is the story really about tea , or is it tea used as a symbol for something else? If so, what? What other title would you suggest for this story?
For both of you, the ones who are reading Animal Farm and the Short Stories...Can you find any resemblance between what you have read and what is happening in our country (or the world) today? Any character that can be compared to a 'real' human being? Any attitude or behaviour that can be considered a parallel to our reading?

Welcome to our blog! Here we will keep in touch during the whole school year and share our activities.
Instructions: For each reading assignment I would like you to post something to this blog about the reading. Among the things you may want to comment on are:
1- Things that have happened in the story at this point and their significance to the overall story.
2- Characters (their actions, motivations, what they say, how they affect other characters, etc.)
3- Quotes from the reading, especially if they are significant in developing the many themes in the novel.
4- Questions that you have about what you've read (including things you don't understand)
Make sure that you put your name at the beginning of each entry you make so that we know who you are as we read the blog.I hope to make this blog a major part of our class discussion over the daily reading, but how effective that is depends entirely on what you contribute. Remember, you need to post something for each reading assignment, and it must be posted before you come to class. I will leave the length up to you, but what you write should be long enough to meaningfully contribute to our discussion. I will discuss with you a fair way to give credit for these blog postings.
A quote or two
